Since 2003, Oaktree has been breaking the poverty cycle overseas and raising awareness at home. By making a donation, you’re taking an active role in delivering educational opportunities overseas and advocacy campaigns in Australia.
We rely entirely on public donations to keep our work alive. Oaktree is a registered Public Benevolent Institution, able to accept tax deductible donations.
Breaking the poverty cycle overseas. Almost 20,000 people have directly benefited from the $8 million in educational opportunities Oaktree has invested in. Young people who now have the power and skills to make and drive change in their communities.
Awareness raising and political impact. Over 25,000 young people have participated in advocacy and awareness raising initiatives, including Live Below the Line, Roadtrips and Schools 4 Schools. Combined, these young people have reached hundreds of thousands of Australians, and more than 1000 political leaders, with the message that extreme poverty can be ended.
